Sarah

The Volunteer’s Friday afternoon shift was booked. One appointment each hour. After devotions, the volunteer was ready for her first client, however that client did not come to the center this day. Instead God appointed another woman. Sarah to be welcomed as she walked through our door. She shared her personal information. Yes she had a previous abortion in her not so distant past; yes she smoked marijuana with friends; yes she was living an unhealthy lifestyle. “Sarah” stated that she did not like her lifestyle. The Volunteer sensed her hopelessness and shared the Good News of the Gospel with her that afternoon. Sarah wanted to receive the gift of eternal life. She wanted a fresh start, but since she was so aware of sin in her life she didn’t know if she could change. The Volunteer explained to Sarah that she didn’t need to change first to be accepted and forgiven by God, but He was more interested in her desire and willingness to trust Jesus to help her. Realizing your need for a savior and true repentant heart allows God to change you. “Sarah left the center that Friday afternoon with new hope and a new relationship with God!
